Tonya is a Norfolk based artist, with an established career in Exhibition Production, for London's top galleries. She studied at Nottingham Trent University gaining a degree in Decorative Arts; Final Show was exhibited at the 'New Designers' event at the Business Design Centre Islington. Most recently she exhibited at The Royal Academy of Art, London.
Tonya employs her artistic talents as a tool through which to explore her own and others memories, re-creating visual interpretations of events in her childhood. Growing up in the 80's, holidaying in Norfolk and relationships with family, friends and her partner. She feels that 'It is easy to move through life so quickly, that time is easily forgotten. Memory is the fabric of the past and the residue of your being'. These elements are the inspiration for her work, to preserve memories. |
